AIGA Nebraska is 100% volunteer-run and fueled by membership. Every single person in the AIGA Community, from first-year student to a nationally recognized professional, is involved because of their own personal passion for advancing design and building an even better creative community.

If you share that passion and are interested in putting your talents to work, we are searching for driven individuals for the following positions immediately.

Positions Available:

  • Director of Public Relations
    • Our Director of Public Relations will have a focus on our diversity and inclusion intiative, but will PR our events as well. We’re looking for someone willing to gain an understanding and support for our members and our chapter and national goals. You’ll use all forms of media and communication to build, maintain and manage our connection to the community. This person will contact the press, field PR related communications, and write statements and communicaton documents. We are an event centered chapter, so this position must be willing to take part in event management.
  • Director of Membership
    • Keep and maintain membership list. Keep and maintain mailing list and e-mailing list. Assist event chairs with keeping accurate attendee lists for all events. Assist event chairs with providing membership materials at each event. Interface with AIGA National on membership issues. Actively promote membership in AIGA by leading membership drive initiative, etc. Act as a liaison between the board and the general membership. Bring  AIGA membership applications to all AIGA events. Co-chair one event each year with a second chair from the general AIGA membership. We are an event centered chapter, so this position must be willing to take part in event management and planning.
  • Director of Partnership
    • The Partnership position is absolutely crucial to the success and existence of our chapter. Without the Director of Partnership, many of our events would not be possible. The responsibilities of this position include: reaching out to potential sponsors to fund our events, fostering our current partnership relationships, managing the sponsorship database, ensuring every events has sufficient sponsorship, collaborating with board members. This person must feel comfortable emailing and calling potential sponsors, and visiting the sponsors if neccessary. We are an event centered chapter, so this position must be willing to take part in event management and planning.
  • Show Co-Chair
    • We’re looking for someone with exceptional event management skills with a design focus or interest. You’ll be learning the ropes of the largest design competition in Nebraska, Show, then take over as Director of Show beginning 2018. Could this be you?
  • Barcamp Co-Chair
    • We’re looking for someone with exceptional event management skills with a design focus or interest. You’ll be learning the ropes of Omaha’s finest unconference, Barcamp, then take over as Director of Barcamp beginning 2018. Could this be you?
  • Director of Operations (Opening in March)
    • Coordinate with the President to develop an agenda before each Board meeting. Provide a checks and balance system for the chapter’s financial records. Compile and format financial and programming records from each event and ensure the appropriate information is submitted to the national organization and the local Web Director in a timely manner. Maintain volunteer rolls; coordinate with event chairs for assignment of volunteers. Maintain the Chapter’s post office box. Co-chair one event each year with a second chair from the general AIGA membership. We are an event centered chapter, so this position must be willing to take part in event management and planning.
