AIGA

AIGA advances design as a professional craft, strategic advantage and vital cultural force. As the largest community of design advocates, we bring together practitioners, enthusiasts, and patrons to amplify the voice of design and create the vision for a collective future. We define global standards and ethical practices, guide design education, enhance professional development, and make powerful tools and resources accessible to all.

AIGA Nebraska

Creating a space where design influences change.
  • Professional Development. Don’t think for a second that the learning stops once you’re finally out in the real world. The world changes fast and creative professionals need to change with it. Individual needs change as well, as professions develop, evolve, and pivot! From software skills, to presentation skills, to interpersonal communication skills, we want to help you grow in your practice, profession, and passion.
  • Providing Inspiration. “To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.” – Joseph Chilton Pearce. Inspiration is all around us! When was the last time you felt stimulated to do something creative? Hearing the thoughts, ideas, and aspirations of those with real world experience is a wonderful opportunity to learn. If you treat events as learning opportunities, you will find them to be very beneficial to you.
  • Connecting People. Isolation isn’t the greatest generator of creativity, so we help bridge the gap that separates us from each other. AIGA social events bring like-minded individuals together in a fun environment. If your goal is to make connections in the industry, then you’ll be right at home at any AIGA event. The events allow you to get to know people, network, showcase your skills, and learn from others. These events are imperative in both the initial relationship building and the relationship maintaining stages.
  • Diversity & Inclusion. Passionate conversations among the AIGA community have catalyzed the Diversity & Inclusion Initiative. D&I is meant to augment ongoing AIGA programs with new ideas and resources that take a comprehensive approach by considering race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, ability and disability, age, and other factors that should shape and not hinder creative expression and professional experience.
