James Edmondson is an independent type designer in San Francisco. His creations can be found on losttype.com and in the work and font collections of graphic designers the world over. Even if you don't know his name, you probably recognize James's iconic Wisdom Script and Lavanderia typefaces, just to name a couple.
James Edmondson will be bringing Nebraska a double dose of typographic inspiration Thursday, April 7th in Lincoln! We’re hosting a small private workshop with James from 12–5 in the afternoon—seats are limited, so get your tickets now!—as well as an evening presentation at 7pm, on James’s own professional path, its challenges and triumphs.
Edmondson’s presentation will be a walk through his professional typographic journey: from school at California College of the Arts and the TypeMedia program at the Royal Academy of Art in the Netherlands, to his current life as a type designer and lettering artist, James will share the struggles, insights and advice from his personal journey in a world of letterforms.
