From the folks who brought you Love on the Run and Hoptober Pressed, Lincoln-based papermill, letterpress studio and purveyor of letterpress gifts Porridge Papers has just unveiled their most recent project aimed at making letterpress printing more accessible than ever – The Bar!

Boasting four presses, paper cutter, foil stamper, and more, Porridge Papers has provided designers and craft enthusiasts with the perfect studio space and tools to bring their ideas to life. Pour over more than 200 drawers of metal and wood type, have a custom plate made from your digital artwork or bring your own carved wood or lino-blocks.

The staff at Porridge Papers wants to ensure that visitors to The Bar have a safe and enjoyable experience, and are standing by to answer questions and give advice to novice and experienced printers alike. For the cost of a single hour of studio time, first-time guests will receive a two-hour introduction to The Bar’s equipment and instruction how to operate it safely. What’s better, guests who complete the introductory workshop will receive their Bar membership, granting them access to The Bar and one free hour of studio time.

To top it off, Porridge Papers is also a handmade papermill, with a variety of quality commercial and handmade papers on-hand to help you find that perfect look and feel for your printed pieces.
