David Barringer
David Barringer is the author of There’s Nothing Funny About Design, “American Mutt Barks in the Yard “ (Emigre 68, 2005), and the novel American Home Life. His design writing has appeared in Voice, Eye, I.D., Emigre, The New York Times Book Review, and several anthologies. He is the winner of the Winterhouse Award for Design Writing & Criticism 2008. He went to law school at the University of Michigan and recently co-wrote Unbound, a book on the future of the legal industry. He grew up in Michigan but now lives in North Carolina. Christine Taylor
Christine worked in the mental health industry almost five years before realizing creativity was her calling. After her graduate studies, she landed in Kansas City at Hallmark Cards to work as a designer/art director in departments from Hallmark’s branding to in-house studio and gift books. Additionally, she helped found and brand Bungalow Creative, a small independent design firm. Currently, this designer and part-time DJ is Licensing Creative Account Manager, where she works with studios like Lucasfilm, FOX, WB, Sony, NBC/Universal and CBS on strategy and development of licensed products for Hallmark’s product development studios.
Armin Vit
Born and raised in Mexico City, Armin Vit is a graphic designer and writer now living in Austin, Texas. He is co-founder of UnderConsideration and its myriad of sites. His last employment position was at Pentagram. He now runs UnderConsideration’s Department of Design. With his partner, Bryony, he has co-authored the books Women of Design and Graphic Design Referenced. See: underconsideration.com.
