THE JUDGES
Victor Rodriguez
Eurie Creative
With 20 years’ experience as graphic designer, creative director and agency principal, Victor Rodriguez owns and manages eurie creative, a design boutique in Las Vegas, Nevada. But his creative odyssey began in Kalamazoo, Michigan and has taken him to Houston, Texas and Orlando, Florida along the way.
For the past seven years, Victor has been actively involved with AIGA’s Las Vegas chapter. During his three-year tenure as its president, he oversaw a six-fold growth of the membership. He oversaw growth of the operating budget from thousands of dollars in the hole to $45,000. And he transformed the chapter from a casual social club into a professionally-organized presence within the Las Vegas business community.
In 2004, AIGA Las Vegas publicly acknowledged Victor’s contributions by honoring him as “Ambassador of the Arts,” an award created to recognize individuals who have raised standards of excellence in practice and conduct in the field of graphic design. Victor was also selected by Graphic Design:usa as one of the industry’s “Top 50 People” to watch in 2001, and again in 2005. His work has been featured in industry magazines such as HOW, Print, and ID, as well as other national annuals.
Throughout Victor’s career, he has consistently strived and succeeded in producing design that achieves marketing objectives while extending communication to a higher level through inspired creative solutions. This approach has enabled him to garner partnerships with nationally recognized clients including SONY Computer Entertainment America, The Upjohn Company, The Walt Disney Company, Toshiba, Harrah’s Entertainment, Ameristar Casinos, Cirque du Soleil, Paramount Home Entertainment and Warner Brothers Strategic Marketing.
Current clients include: Ameristar Casinos; Harrah’s Entertainment, which includes not only Harrah’s properties across the nation, but also Flamingo Las Vegas, Paris Las Vegas, Bally’s Las Vegas, Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, The Imperial Palace and Caesars Palace; and most recently, Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies.
Victor’s passion to bring graphic communications to the forefront of business and society continues. Beyond his ongoing activities with AIGA, IABC and AdFed, he recently accepted an invitation to become a founding member of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies, Integrated Marketing Communications Track Advisory Board. In this capacity, Victor is helping mold tomorrow’s leaders by providing input and guidance regarding course offerings, faculty selection and rapport with members of the professional community.
Victor studied Media and Communications at Michigan State University, and Graphic Design at Western Michigan University.
