AIGA Nebraska is currently seeking enthusiastic, design-savvy individuals to join the board of directors.
The efforts of the AIGA Nebraska board are critical in supporting the mission of AIGA, as well as defining and achieving the goals and initiatives of AIGA on a local level. AIGA Nebraska board members play an active role in every aspect of the organization’s success, from contributing ideas and developing relevant programming to serving as design advocates and engaging community participation.

You are the trapper keeper of the chapter. You are so organized that your sock drawer is not only arranged by color, it’s also cross-referenced in a database by thickness and thread count. You value history, accuracy and organization. Sticky labels are your friends.
Maintain chapter mailing list
Maintain chapter email list
Maintain and catalog chapter resources (keys, documents, event materials, etc.)
Chapter historian including archiving photographs, event promo materials
Update photos on Flickr account
Take minutes at board meetings
Bring appropriate branding materials to events
Responsible for photos being taken at events

Part conductor, part magician, you are organized, self-motivated and know how to get the job done. You enjoy facilitating new event ideas and helping to make them happen.
Watchdog for event information currency and accuracy in all chapter communication channels
Maintain master calendar of events and activities
Maintain event timelines
Help event chairs stay on top of their deadlines
Ensure program diversity
Generate event summary reports
Work with chapter president on the annual chapter board retreat
Be the driving force behind the annual event planning process

After the board reviews your resume and statement, we will contact you to set up an in person interview with members of the board.
Incoming board members would not officially begin their 2-year term until January 1, 2012.
The few months prior to the official start of the new term would be spent shadowing the outgoing board member, learning how to fulfill the position specific duties, as well as learning how to effectively serve on the board.
