Thanks to everyone who came out to make Revinylize such a huge success! We didn't expect such an overwhelming positive response from the community; we were quite pleasantly surprised. It took a lot of time and effort to make Revinylize happen, and we are currently discussing what the future of Revinylize will be, including the possibility of an online store.
If you would like to be put on a waiting list for future Revinylize notifications, please email membership [at] nebraska.aiga.org.
Thanks!
Learn how to make your own messenger bag or wallet with old billboard vinyl. These billboards were designed to grab attention on our highways—now they'll grab attention as stylish accessories! $10 gets you one-on-one help with our workforce as we help you build your own bag in about 20 minutes. You get to choose the colors and graphics from our large selection.

At Revinylize, we'll transform more than half a ton of billboard vinyl into affordable messenger bags and wallets, keeping the waste out of our landfills while raising money and awareness for AIGA Nebraska. We'll show how "design thinking" can play a positive role in our society and on our environment. AIGA is a 501[c]3 non-profit organization with 22,000 members nationwide—our goal is to advance designing as a professional craft, strategic tool and vital cultural force.
Messenger bag workshop: $10
Wallets: $5
One-on-one workshops will last approximately 20-30 minutes. We will be able to help 5-10 people at any given time. You don't need to bring any tools, we'll give you everything you need!
If you are a local designer, can follow instructions, like to help others and have two hours to spare, we could use your help to keep Revinylize running through the weekend. In exchange for your help, we'll give you your very own messenger bag!
Q: How do I sign up?
A: Go to our VolunteerSpot page to reserve a two-hour shift. Please only sign up if you will be there. We're counting on you!
Q: Do I have to create a VolunteerSpot profile?
A: Absolutely not! We want to make signing up as easy as possible. VolunteerSpot just needs your email address to ensure that nobody else can sign up under your name.
Q: I gave VolunteerSpot my address, now what?
A: You should receive a confirmation email within the hour, then you can pick your Revinylize shift. If you didn't receive an email, check your junkmail.
Q: I'm having trouble, can you walk me through signing up?
A: It's alright, it happens to the best of us. Check out these three easy steps.
