Another successful MMD completed - Thanks to those who attended!
Saturday, April 10 and Me, Myself & Design 2010 are both history now, but that doesn't mean you can't look back and see what happened.
Take a look at event photos here, shot with loving care by John Gawley and Paul Berkbigler throughout the day.

It’s official: You’re invited to sit at the Big Kids’ table.
You’re no stranger to life as a design student, including the sleepless nights, the constant critiques, and the ever-looming project deadlines.
Through it all, you’ve kept telling yourself: “It’ll all be worth it once I’m sitting at that table with all the professional ‘Big Kids.’”
Your mind is probably reeling with questions about what life in the field is really like:
“Where will I find work?”
…or “When I find a job, how will I know if it’s the right one for me?”
…or even, “Do I really want to work for someone else or should I try to go it alone?”
In the midst of that head-spinning daze, AIGA Nebraska just passed you a note that reads, “We have a seat reserved with your name on it,” and is already pointing you towards that table with the professionals.
We’ve gathered a diverse group of professionals to talk with you about their daily life as working designers. We're featuring the following designers from four familiar design environments:
+ The Agency
• Justin Kemerling @ Swanson-Russell
• Craig Hughes @ Ervin & Smith
• Joe Olsen @ Phenomblue
+ The In-House Design Department
• Ryan Holt @ Nelnet
• Jeremie Memming @ Nelnet
• Bennett Holzworth @ Nebraska Book Company
• Lea DeLoughery Schuster @ RDG Architectural Design & Planning
+ The Independent Design Firm
• Joe Sparano @ Oxide Design
• Peter Morris @ Local Hero Design
• Heidi Mihelich @ Emspace Inc.
• Elizebeth Murphy @ Emspace Inc.
+ Life as a Freelancer
• Lisa Vitale @ Atelier Vitale
• Eric Nyffeler @ Doe-Eyed Design
• Donovan Beery @ Eleven19
• Cathy Solarana @ Cathy Solarana Design
• Adam Nielsen @ GoodTwin Design
Join sixteen guest “Big Kids” in talking about how they made the move from design student to design professional. Swap questions and answers with them about where they work, what they do, how they got there and what you can do to connect with a design environment like the one they currently work in. You’ll meet designers who are just a year or two out of school as well as those with seasoned experience as art directors, managers and even business owners.

Let the Big Kids take a look at your book.
For those interested in an MMD10 bonus round, several of the panelists will also be offering portfolio reviews after the panel discussions.
Bring you, yourself and your design on Saturday, April 10 for feedback on what you’ve been up to by the people you could end up working for in your design future. Portfolio reviews will begin at 3 PM and run until 4:30 PM.

In order to help keep future MMD events free, we’re saving some planning costs this year by asking participants to do one of two things:
A. Bring a lunch along with you to the event (no refrigerators available, so plan food that will be AOK in room temperature!)
B. Buy a Panera lunch through the chapter for $13.00. We’ll be placing a group order for Panera sandwiches, soups, salads and drinks. E-mail education@nebraska.aiga.org to get a copy of the available menu, then we’ll send a Paypal link for you to pay in advance of the event.
