“You cannot say that you are effectively addressing issues if you are not including the people who are affected by them in your efforts and giving them access to power.” Antionette Carroll

Furthering AIGA Nebraska’s mission to Embrace, Engage, and Empower the community, Antionette Carroll (founder of the Creative Reaction Lab, http://www.creativereactionlab.com/) will lead "Designing Inclusion and Equity Using Creative Problem Solving and Entrepreneurship: A Workshop" at the Malcolm X Center on Saturday, April 15.

Merging creative problem solving with social entrepreneurship, activists, nonprofit leaders, designers, artists, and the common person alike can develop innovative and impactful approaches challenging systemic issues – especially through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Fifteen tickets will be available to purchase, and ten invitations will be extended to policy makers, government officials, and community members who may never have attended a design-led facilitation workshop. We want this to be the start, a new way of approaching finding solutions for our communities and city. Join us.

Workshop Goals
Inspired by Antionette's work with the Creative Reaction Lab, our goal is to include those most impacted by social inequality. Attendees will learn how to use co-creation methodologies for civic leadership and community development while challenging systems of social oppression. It will also be an opportunity for Nebraskan's to use their specific insights into their own communities to develop solutions that can be implemented for themselves.

Join us for Antoinette's talk. Purchase tickets using this link!
